This is what Napoleon gave to his officers. A brass striking travelling clock with alarm, c. 1810. The quality eight-day movement has a going train with anchor escapement and a striking train that repeats the strike after two minutes past the hour with trip repeat. The alarm is wound by pulling a cord to the side and is set by a blued-steel certral hand. It has been completely restored.
