Engraving on English Table Clocks

This wonderful book, Engraving on English Table Clocks: Art on a Canvas of Brass, 1660-1800, which counts about 500 pages and is richly illustrated, is to be available now. It studies, analyses and describes the development of the engraving on the backplates of English spring clocks in great detail putting this development in a wider context than just the horological field. I was the reader over the author’s – my friend Sunny Dzik’s – shoulder and in my opinion he has done a marvellous job.
