Sold

Rare late 19th-century striking dial clock, signed on the dial Cooke & Kelvey, London & Calcutta, c. 1890. Based on the feature that most steel parts are painted, the clock was probably made in India. The case has a solid dark mahogany rim, a mahogany-veneered oak salt box and a cast brass bezel. The week-going movement has rectangular plates connected by shaped pillars, chain fusees and a short pendulum. The iron dial had its original painting touched up.

Movement fully restored.
